Saya - a majestic black panther that roams through the Indian Kabini Forest. I poured my soul into creating this piece and genuinely enjoyed every second of it. My aim was to truly capture the essence of a black panther's elegant beauty. Known to be stealthy whilst roaming through their natural habitat has led for them to often be referred to as ‘ghosts of the forests’... Unfortunately, habitat loss and poaching remain the biggest threats to black panthers. A huge thank you to Yashas Narayan for allowing me to use his work as reference.
